Pros

Amazing coworkers. They strictly hire young people so it’s very easy to make friends.

Cons

They do not care about your well being and treat you as a robot. There are major discriminatory issues in this department that are brushed under the table when addressed. They only care about you manning your desk at all times and hitting your performance metrics (90% of back to back calls). This company strictly hires young girls straight out of college because they are “moldable.” A direct quote from a supervisor was the reason they do this is to avoid a “typical Indian call center” for customer service. I repeat, this company has severe issues that they refuse to address. They do not care about their employees. I would never recommend working for this company. The reason they have so many benefit “perks” (which they conveniently strip away) is because the work environment is not up to par.

Pros

- Free lunch every day in the office - Free health insurance - Good people, young office - Fun culture - Cool office - Frequent compensation review (also can be a con, due to requirement factors that are solely based on when you were hired (i.e. not tied to performance))

Cons

While work does stop as soon as you're off the clock, when you're on the clock, you're completely overworked. High performers are expected to take on more difficult/strenuous workload, and there is little patience or flexibility if you don't meet the standard, and no reward if you go above the standard. End of year (~Dec through ~March) is ridiculously busy, and it's expected that you work overtime and pick up others' slack. Under-performers are rarely/never fired and pretty much never get any sort of warning. Others are expected to pick up their slack. If you're coming out of college, DO NOT EXPECT CAREER ADVANCEMENT. In interviews you may be told that this position is just a year, but the only transitions you can make are lateral and do not pay more. Very little investment in young employees' careers. This job is not recommended if you are hoping to "work your way up" in a growing startup. Other teams do not take customer care seriously, so the more coveted roles are extremely difficult to get, regardless of your education background/intelligence.

Pros

- Smart, friendly folks - Amazing product and a SMB/customer centric approach - Tons of opportunity to have impact

Cons

- Inauthentic - doesn't practice what it preaches; motto of "putting people first" is really about putting customers first to drive revenue without creating the same level of "putting people first" for its own employees - Slow growth = fewer career opportunities, however this is the reality of any startup; most teams also moving to Denver - Culture, happiness level differs across groups - product/engineering in general is happier while sales/marketing, less so
