Work life balance can be challenging. Some of the long time managers feel if you're not working at least 50 hours per week then you're not loyal to the company. Company loyalty went out in the 70's. Some managers feel its appropriate to bad mouth former employees to clients and reinsurers. This is unprofessional behavior especially at the senior management level. The pay tends to be lower than top two competitors. The salaries don't match the titles.

I had to work well over 40 hours a week and was not always paid for what I worked. The role was not what I was expecting when I accepted the job. The expectation was to get the job done with little or insufficient training. Workplace harassment and discrimination happened for years and was overlooked almost every time I reported it.
