Pros

Company has great career opportunities. H.O. Penn will send employees to training / schooling to make sure that we can stay up to date with fast advancing construction industry. The company also has our health in mind, providing resources to keep employees active and eating healthy.

Cons

The branch i work out of has a son working under his father who is a manager. This has caused issues in the shop because the son is getting special privileges. Including leaving early every week and still getting paid for a full day with out using his vac or person time, easier work, and will hide in the bathroom for hours during the day. Other employees will not speak up in fear of being punished by this manager because it has happened in the past.

Cons

This is a family firm company that is proactively adapting to the post "Great Recession" world's changing market realities and one needs to be willing to continually learn, to be flexible and to quickly adapt to change, which is not easy for everyone.

If you want to work for a company where ownership and Senior Management truly care for the well-being of their employees then H.O. Penn is the place for you. Many companies have posted values but at H.O. Penn our values are not only posted, but fully ingrained in the culture. The result is an extremely positive work environment with everyone working for the common good. Egos are checked at the door. In addition, employees are given every opportunity to advance themselves in their careers. Ample training is not only available but strongly encouraged by management. All new positions are communicated to the entire organization so that everyone is aware of opportunities they may wish to pursue. In short if you want to work for an honest, caring company that truly values their employees you will not be disappointed at H.O. Penn
