The Tax Pros depend (!!!) on the amount of clients they take per tax season, their bonuses at the end of the tax season reflected how many clients they saw/completed. They do not like the idea that you may want to jeopardize that number for them, They tend to take it personally when they lose a client and you can be the first blamed for the loss.
