Pros

Because of the high prices that H&R Block charges, you get great commission. You can learn to do taxes from H&R Block and don't need a degree. It is great working with clients.

Cons

It's hard to hold onto clients because H&R Block is over priced. Most of the office managers don't know a thing about taxes they just manage the store. This creates a disconnect because the manager is only concerned about sales and not quality.

Pros

Great commission potential. Very inexpensive continuing education. Seasonal work. Flexible hours. Good opportunity if you are good at doing taxes and retaining your clients.

Cons

H&R Block is VERY expensive compared to the competition. It is very difficult to retain clients because most clients are appalled at how expensive a tax return is.
