      Excellent energy & culture

      Pros

      Having come to H1 from a very corporate feeling company, I've loved the energy and collaboration that I've experienced in my first year. I've enjoyed the excitement of building digital marketing from nothing and seeing how far we've come since day one. I love my team, my manager and my role. I have freedom to structure my days and I'm able to chat with anyone in the company, from the CEO down. It's truly a unique place to work. It's amazing the talent you can bring together when you're willing to hire remotely and find the right people.

      Cons

      H1 has experienced some growing pains that I'd consider common to most startups as they're finding their footing and more recently, as everyone has been dealing with a struggling economy. Although my compensation is competitive, H1 currently does not match 401K plans.

      H1 has been a dream job I did not expect

      Pros

      One of the first things that drew me to H1 was their lack of discrimination towards a pregnant woman searching for a new job. In fact, when I shared I was pregnant in my interview process every person involved celebrated with me. I was completely shocked because I was not expecting to be treated the same as every other candidate. Little did I know, this was a small taste of what I further experienced coming on full time at H1...From the top down, the leadership recognizes the people of H1 as one of their biggest assets. Additionally, I have one of the best managers I have ever had who has answered every silly question and accepted every meeting invite of mine to ensure my onboarding at H1 was nothing but a success. Feeling cared about has only made me want to work harder and learn faster to help the overall success and mission of our company.

      Cons

      H1 is still a small, growing company and with that, there are always going to be some growing pains. As our company has grown, our product offerings have grown so it is taking time to consolidate our messaging and ensure everyone is on the same page. Additionally, I do feel like we are working towards a more diverse leadership team. We just hired a female CFO, so I think we are tracking in the right direction.

      Interesting and compelling problems to solve. Smart and competent coworkers. Fast growing company. Remote work.

      Cons

      Some of the early leaders in the company are struggling to adjust their management styles to fit the more mature stage of business we are now in and where we expect to be. Frequent and unexplained firing and re-hiring in certain departments, which leads to a sense of apprehension and fear of "what if I'm next?"
