Pros
I love working here, and feel pleasure in my duty. My favorite thing is the flexibility that allows me to work mainly from home, which is such a privilege, especially lately when I have been dealing with embarrassing health issues. This perk is accompanied by an amazing six-month maternity leave, which I hope I won't need, but I'm glad to know it exists, in addition to health insurance, PTO, and a pleasant environment where you can even bring your pet to work (I don't have a pet here myself, but I appreciate this initiative and love finding pets when I go to the offices). This place has a level of committed workers beyond my imagination and a strong team spirit. It's noteworthy that the company values women having them occupying high positions. Likewise, they cherish diversity. Furthermore, the company pays for your tuition if you have been here for at least one year. Especially if you live in the USA, you know the value of this.
Cons
People complain a lot, but I doubt that Hayman-Woodward differs from other companies handling clients (I mean it regarding reviews). We deal with people that invested significant sums of money to migrate, and it fosters a terrible sense of entitlement in them, some especially. Sometimes they have a point and I sympathize with them, but it's not unusual that they make things up and make unfair complaints to the CEO since he's so active on social media or even the client support, judging us and diminishing our efforts. Often, they don't understand what they ought to do on their own behalf and find it easier to blame the worker just because they're paying. Unfortunately, many people forget that we are all only ordinary people trying to thrive in this same world, which is disheartening, to say the least. In addition, some social media groups for immigrants and prospects play a crucial role to disseminate bad feelings and inaccurate information. Anyway, this demeanor from our clients generates pressure and a heavy workload. Deadlines get tight, and it takes constant self-awareness to not take it to heart and burn out. I've been working on my self-discipline to turn my work devices off not too much after 5:30 p.m., so I can dedicate myself to my personal life. Overall, I focus on the positive points and good clients and feel grateful for my job. At the end of the day, I'm proud of helping so many families achieve their dreams and pursue a better life.
