Pros

Lots of overtime available. Nurse can make 6 figures working overtime. Able to move around within the hospital

Cons

Frequent changes in management, not enough nurse or cna's at times. Pts not assigned based on acuity. If there is an empty bed a patient will go there despite how heavy your team is.

Pros

Caring leadership, engaged physicians, and great co-workers. There seems to be a cohesiveness within the departments of surgical services. Each department helps the other. The charge nurse of PACU stepped over to help SDS when they were slammed and we were waiting for patients to come from the OR. Great place to work!

Cons

I wish they would update the computer system.
