Pros

People are nice on surface level

Cons

People lack the motivation to work here and management does nothing about it. They are majorily understaffed. The ones that do actually work hard get more work thrown on them without rewards. Those who don't work hard get to do less and get no repercussions.

Pay is descent. . .

Cons

No life work balance. spend all my time on call and @ the hospital. Translates to no down time to recuperate.

Pros

STARN orientation is wonderful and fully prepares you to work on the units. Most staff are nice and helpful. Scholarships for nursing school.

Cons

There is a lower pay as a graduate nurse because you are paid by an the outside company that does the STARN training and the training is considered a part of your salary I guess.
