Pros

ESOP shows excellent returns to employee

Cons

1. Over reliance on utilization as metric for day-to-day workers 2. Top heavy structure. The average worker is expected to cover the cost of significantly higher wage earning managers with little real acknowledgment or appreciation from management.

Pros

Great benefits Great people Community outreach was rewarding Lunch and learns for those that want to expand their knowledge Never had a problem crossing over to other disciplines for help and or input

Cons

No accountability for poor management/discipline leads. IT rolls down hill.. No mentoring for most. Some got special treatment/schooling and additional benefits. There was the "core" group of workers that did the majority of the work, crazy amounts of o.t. where others barely did 8 hours. Last minute emergencies (due to severe lack/epic fail of planning by discipline lead)

Pros

Flexible working hours. Many good managers. Opportunity if you're looking for it.

Cons

If you are in IT, there is a salary increase cap of 9%. HDR does like to promote internally but if you're looking to get paid for your increased contributions to the company, look elsewhere. The salary increase cap is at a firm 9% even if you're underpaid by double digit percentages. They won't tell you this when you apply for an internal promotion but the cap applies to everyone in IT. If you're promoted internally, you'll be working harder for thousands below market rate and there will be external hires who are hired on at or above market.
