      Pros

      There are quite a few team building activities.

      Cons

      The leadership in my office was a joke - taking to many days off and promoting significant relationships to a leadership roles. This I believe is a conflict of interest and goes against company policy. Other employees were forced to look the other way, and that made for an uncomfortable workplace situation.

      Pros

      The company has plenty of work. The people is nice and very experienced. Excellent benefits and opportunities to be part owner.

      Cons

      Management is not that great and is mainly lead by men. Most of the office principles across the offices are from Omaha (where the company's headquarter's is located). Career advancement is not an easy task; it is extremely political.

      Pros

      Employee ownership really means something at HDR. The company seems to be well managed. HDR trains employees well, has good resources, and communicates well.

      Cons

      My only significant challenges have been those that go with any consulting job: the need to generate work and stay billable. The employee experience will vary significantly depending on your home office. As you would expect, the larger offices generally are more formal and packed more densely. The many small offices can be less formal and you might even get an office with a door.
