      Pros

      If you land in a great department within HDR, you will enjoy working for the company.

      Cons

      If you land in a poorly managed department within HDR, working for the company will be a nightmare. Compensation is not that great compared to other similar companies. Managing multiple office locations has not been mastered.

      Pros

      Large company that can provide good benefits and good salary.

      Cons

      Management is lacking, leadership is poor and often not familiar with the situation with the projects. Rewarding good work is rare within any of the disciplines.

      Pros

      Among the best reasons to work HDR Architecture are the competitive salaries, very friendly and fun co-workers, opportuntities to receive training in the latest softwares and working on mega projects. The company is also employee owned giving one the option to buy stock every year.

      Cons

      Among the downsides are rather biased promotions and recognition, limited involvement in decision making and limitation in the project types that you could be assigned to work on. Creativity in design is also very limited with a few people exercising total control on what can or cannot be done.
