      Pros

      You can punch in and out after 40 hrs and pretty much do nothing with your life while enjoying a reasonable salary. If you want that kind of thing. If you bring in new business, it will get taken away from you, but you might get noticed.

      Cons

      Corporate, management, support staff. You can't move up and management doesn't want you to anyway. No transparency. No organic growth. Typical mid-level corporate engineering consultancy. Nothing attractive about this place.

      They are no pros to working for this company.

      Cons

      Ridiculous workload, supervisor and manager are bullies, proposal shop runs like a sweatshop. Work your butt off, supervisor and manager could care less.

      Could be a great company but has a lot of set backs.

      I left another company to work for HDR and it was a mistake. Second day of training my supervisor informed me that he is a ex-felon. I should have taken this had a red light/warning because he turned out to have the attitude of a thug! CAD standards that are generally used in other companies are not applied here. Annotations are all done in the reference file - unheard of... I personally found it hard to be productive and work efficiently with files that were so horribly laid out from the start. I tried expression this to my supervisor and all I got was attitude. I was then neglected by my supervisor and clique of engineers. Cad cowboys do what they want here - HDR is the wild west compared to other companies I've worked for - phx / T
