The people are the best part of my job. I work with a passionate group of people who are dedicated to servicing our customers and making work fun. I look forward to going to work every day! The work is rewarding knowing that we make products that protect our servicemen who protect us!

9/80 work schedule allows for frequent 3 day weekends.

Cons

HDT is a government contractor. When there is no government programs to work they have no work. HDT has been continuing to purchase companies and add overhead and is no longer able to compete on price for contracts. Management has turned towards micromanaging to maintain vanishing profits. Every year is a bad year so don't expect a good raise regardless of your effort. Salary and vacation time is non-negotiable. Expect to work 3 years to get just 3 weeks of vacation.
