Pros

Excellent work environment and culture. Work-life balance is important and highly encouraged. The people at HG Data are great to work with and management is very open and available.

Cons

As an expanding tech company, there can be some growing pains as new structures and systems are implemented to compliment the growth - nothing unusual or major. The commitment of the company as a whole is moving everything in the right direction.

Pros

Hands down the best professional working experience I've ever had. There are plenty of tech companies in SB, but none of them have as optimal a mix of intelligence, culture, and most of all opportunity as HG Data. Combine that with the location (literally 5 minute walk to the beach & 10 mins to the funk zone), and you get one seriously lucky group of folks working here. And they know it.

Cons

When you're a company growing as fast as HG Data, there are lots of opportunities to chase. Lots of potential roads to go down. Choosing the right roads to travel down is an incredibly complex, heavy, and sometimes frustrating process; which can definitely lead to some tensions along the way. But these frustrations & tensions are all part of the sausage-making process. That's the way it should be. I wouldn't want it any other way.
