Pros

There are a lot to learn at the company and you will feel it on your first day. This company miraculously was able to find and hire many talented and smart people.

Cons

The company simply does not care about you. You are a dollar bill and a very expendable tool. You get the workload of more than one person but you're told that you should be working harder anyway. Then you work more hours than you bargained for. Wish I listened to the negative reviews. I saw them before I started but I thought they were exaggerated. They weren't

Harrowing Work Experience

Pros

The work itself is rewarding and meaningful. Hardly worth the suffering, though.

Cons

1. You will never have the tools you need to succeed. 2. Company values monetary gain and "efficiency" over everything. Ironically, your ability to do your job will be impeded at every turn. For instance, the case management system is cumbersome and a huge barrier to getting anything done efficiently. Have fun learning how to navigate this joke of a system while also trying to get your actual job done. 3. Hudson cannot be bothered to train anyone, so expect to train yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back for succeeding despite the endless challenges this company throws your way. 4. HR is virtually impossible to get a hold of, as they are preoccupied with god knows what. Probably humiliating someone for no reason, or pretending they don't know anything as they carry on doing Management's dirty work. Don't expect to get even a crumb of their attention. 5. Work environment is one of humiliation and paternalism due to Management's obsession with power and control. Your coworkers will be inspiring and funny and so smart. Unfortunately, everyone is worked to death and egregiously underpaid. This contributes to an environment where blame, deceit, trauma bonding, and self-delusion are rampant. Gaslighting is pervasive. 7. You'll be amazed and disturbed by how little this company cares about its clients. Try to sleep at night knowing Hudson is just as broken and corrupt as the immigration system itself. Hudson overpromises and underdelivers, retains more clients than it can handle, and addresses backlog by pushing people past their limits and imposing unrealistic expectations to the detriment of clients and workers alike. Consequently, client cases are not afforded the time, complexity, and dignity they deserve. This place is an ethical debacle.

Clueless and pushy management

Pros

I joined this company because I liked the idea of helping people to immigrate. It was something I thought I should do.

Cons

The management is clueless about what and how most employees are doing and how they are helping the clients. At the same time, they are very pushy about pressurizing people about sitting at the desks all day and take fewer breaks.
