Pros

-Flexible work hours -Pretty independent -Some good benefits, like annual PTO accrual with no cap, employer-matching 401K, medical/vision/dental, and gym reimbursement (though gym reimbursement was taken away during the pandemic even though it is also intended for home exercise equipment) -Interesting clients (usually scientists) and fulfilling work (helping immigrants) -Great coworkers -Currently work from home due to pandemic (but employees had to beg for it) -Some advancement opportunities

Cons

-Extremely unstable compensation and policies -Contracted salary is actually BELOW industry standard and that of much smaller competitors -Method of attaining higher income is predatory and requires taking extra projects, so quantity is always more favored than quality -Far more clients than the company has capacity for, and management expects employees to deal with it -No transparency from management; policies are constantly changing without warning or feedback -Benefits are not equal for employees in the same position (eg, some employees have paid medical leave but others do not) -Management is hostile and ignores employee feedback and concerns, sometimes even reprimanding them for it or worse -HR is not very responsive for anything that isn't simply fixing clock in/out or calling in sick -High turnover

Good coworkers, toxic management

Pros

The work can be rewarding, your immediate coworkers are helpful and are interested in helping you and the clients

Cons

Management is a nightmare, they're difficult to contact and often unresponsive or just deliberate unhelpful. They don't actually understand how the company works and still try to make huge sweeping changes, then blame other employees when they don't work out. It's pretty clear that they don't care about the employees or the clients, and are only interested in the money they can get.

Pros

There is a flexible schedule as long as you meet your deadlines/complete your work or have open communication with your team lead.

Cons

Work/life balance is nonexistent, severe understaffing, impossible workload, management has not taken care of the client backlog, and you will be burnt out within a year, if not sooner.
