Pros
great support system in terms of on-staff carpenters, laborers & stocked warehouse, great to have the weight of such a big company behind you when negotiating, company has an excellent, well-earned reputation for high quality work.
Cons
I've personally experienced several incidents of upper management going back on their word, 'taking one for the team' or being altruist will have you being taken advantage of. It's every man for himself. Leadership is entirely inconsistent - some Sr PMs and VPs are great - attentive, helpful- some are out in left field and make unilateral decisions without consulting people who know what's going on. Teams compete against each other for the same jobs. Communications from ownership is great but disintegrates at VP level (depending upon your sector). Zero effort in any work life balance - in fact, they value only the people who sacrifice all their time to the company.
