      Pros

      - High Starting Pay - Interesting Projects - Respected reputation among clients, subcontractors, and architects - Increasing use of technology to reduce paperwork

      Cons

      As a field/construction site personnel, your experience is highly dependent on your day to day manager. Some are great and understanding managers, others will overwork you and care little for your personal well being. As others have said, the work life balance can be terrible.

      Pros

      Great building and Friday afternoon happy hour. Lots of opportunity for bonuses if you are in the right group

      Cons

      Company does not understand the fundamentals of Project Management. This is a who you know, who likes you environment. There are many people in positions of power who really do not know how to manage people and as a result some people are badly mistreated. Just do not feel that it is a very professional organization. In addition way to much paperwork. IT Systems are not integrated.

      Pros

      If you make a lot of profit on your projects, you can make great bonuses ($50k or more- Even over $150k at Sr PM and above level). You can get promotions very quickly without a lot of experience or knowledge. Lots of events, trips, freebies from subcontractors if you give them profitable contracts.

      Cons

      Aggressive management style. Win at all costs, make money at all costs, client service over employee appreciation. Glamorous jobs throughout the company but the grind is at the APM and Field Team level. Plan to work long hours, weekends and nights. Generally need to get creative to make extra profit.
