Pros

Company is great to their employees. Benefits are amazing.

Cons

Working in the base building sector is work till you die. You have no life outside of work. You will work 6:30am-6pm every day and also work weekends. You are expected to juggle multiple projects with no help. There are good people in this sector, but lot of upper management treat their employees terribly. They absolutely do not care when you say you need help or can’t finish a task, you receive criticism and disrespect. You receive no recognition for your work, you’re just expected to do more for them.

Pros

I believe HITT is a great company to be employed with. As a company they care about their employees. Benefits, compensation, gas mileage, and PTO are great. Many departments have the ability to work from home, have flexible hours and don’t work overtime.

Cons

There is no standard between the sectors and departments for work from home, or flex hours. If you work in the office, you have the option to work from home, or have flexible hours. If you work off site in the technology, healthcare or base building, regardless of your role, you will work well over 45 hours a week. To include Saturday, late nights, and overnights. You receive no additional compensation, gas allowance or other benefits to do this. Your average day is 7-5:30 or later. It’s absolutely not sustainable. Ofer more flexibility to work from home if you’re required to work Saturday, late night, or overnights and working 40+ hours. Ability to flex your hours if you’re already working 60 hours a week is much more manageable. You have no time for mental health, family or anything else. Nobody in these departments seem to think anything is wrong with this schedule and it’s just the status quo.

Not good at employee retention or growth

Pros

The office layout is nice. Open enough and nice colors. You will learn a lot, and quickly.

Cons

As an associate, you do not get anything... they believe APMs and PEs are a dime a dozen. If you make it past that, you can do great. Do not give notice. VA is at-will. I gave notice and they fired me. Their HR is a mess. No clear way to handle issues. No clear point of contact for most HR issues.
