      Pros

      Great atmosphere in and out of the office. Everyone does what they can to help each other. HITT's philosophy of treating everyone fairly includes the subcontractors, which in NY Construction, is very rare. They pay their bills, treat everyone with respect and are constantly looking for innovative ways to be more efficient.

      Cons

      Not many - very busy as NY division looks to make its' mark in and around the city.

      Since acquisition of Americon Construction in 2016, we implemented HITT's Seller Doer model and integrated estimating in project management so our PMs can start building relationships with clients , consultants, and subcontractors in early stage of projects. Our clients have a single point of contract throughout entire project life cycle. Our team has great work ethics and strong desire to grow. We strive to be our clients' EASY BUTTON. We had our annual Subcontractor Appreciation Day in 2018 & 2019. This is one of HITT traditions for decades. Sub Day gives our team an opportunity to thank our subcontractors for their support and quality work. Glad we have turned things around. Together, we are building HITT's Platinum brand in NYC

      Busy market. Hard to say NO to clients. Will continue to improve Work Life balance.

      Pros

      If you make a lot of profit on your projects, you can make great bonuses ($50k or more- Even over $150k at Sr PM and above level). You can get promotions very quickly without a lot of experience or knowledge. Lots of events, trips, freebies from subcontractors if you give them profitable contracts.

      Cons

      Aggressive management style. Win at all costs, make money at all costs, client service over employee appreciation. Glamorous jobs throughout the company but the grind is at the APM and Field Team level. Plan to work long hours, weekends and nights. Generally need to get creative to make extra profit.
