Pros

A company going places, that has invested a lot of time and energy into enhancing and improving over the last few years. There is a real commitment to people (diversity, inclusion and development) and client quality / technical excellence - this has taken time to develop and get right but now it is a very different company to where it was 2-3 years ago - and the colleagues in HKA really recognise this through the feedback given in the annual employee survey and the amazing engagement / support given particularly through the Covid year of 2020. I'm particularly excited about how collaborative everyone is and how committed the Board is to innovation.

Cons

A small company growing big always has growing pains - but nothing that undermines the quality of the people, business and delivery to clients

Thank you. Having been here for the last few years, you have contributed, helped and seen the continuous improvement that continues to occur at HKA. Delighted you joined us and are part of our team helping to move us further forward. As you know, we are not complacent and we do know the areas that we need to improve further on. Thankfully we have a Board, CEO and ExCom who believe in equality, diversity and inclusion and we have passionate and smart colleagues who want to help us go faster on our equality, diversity and inclusion journey. Still room for improvement within HKA on equality, diversity and inclusion and also we need/want to encourage more diverse people to join our professions from schools/universities etc. I totally agree with your advice to Management and all the evidence points to us being focused on our People. I think your advice is particularly poignant as I think it is our people that make the difference to our clients and to making HKA a great place to work. Thank you again. Onwards and upwards we go! Thank you for your review. We note you are a former employee and worked with us for more than four years. We do wish you well for your future and we thank you for all you achieved as we continue to grow and improve HKA. Sorry, that you would not recommend HKA, and we respect this is your opinion. Unsurprisingly, we do see our Company differently from you. HKA has many excellent people working together, hence why our success is positive. One indicator of that is how very low our attrition rates are and the fact that since HKA was born in 2017, we have grown our employee headcount by 29% across the world. Thank you for noting the Pros of “hybrid working and nice office space” – we care very much about our People and our Clients, and thanks for pointing out those two Pros that impact our People and our Clients. We see the Cons and your comments in advice to Management differently, yet we do not think HKA is perfect and we continue to listen to our Employees, and our Clients and work with them to improve. Our annual employee survey had 89% participation, which makes the results statistically valid and a great source of understanding. In addition, our employees scored HKA as 7.8 out of 10 for “overall how satisfied are you at working at HKA” – a pretty high score from so many employees…yet always more to do individually and collectively to get even better. No recognition or feedback when things go well. Very focused on bottom line margins/budgets.
