      Solid company with great benefits, if they can use you

      Pros

      Carlsbad, HQ: Great new building, many nice people to work with, fast-paced environment. Pioneering newest technology in audio communications. Privacy/security focused. Mature attitudes and hard work are common. Everything is properly licensed and done by the rules. Nobody tried to "get away with" something sneaky from vendors or employees. Several creative thinkers and innovators.

      Cons

      Not all individuals, but general culture unwilling/unable to adapt to new methods, systems, and practices. COVID-19 common excuse for ugly decisions.

      Great co-workers; team atmosphere; good core values

      Cons

      They are afraid to fire employees/supervisors/managers (even if they've had a history of problems at work) so they lose many good employees who work with or for these employees.

      Pros

      I really enjoyed my year of working at HME. The people here are the best! Great work environment/culture all around. They've also got a game room with a ping pong table, foosball, etc. Loved the work/life balance and how flexible my manager was with taking time off. Overall, I really recommend working here!

      Cons

      Depending on which dept. you're in, if the turn-over rate is low (as was the case in my dept.), you don't have much room for advancement unless someone retires or leaves because of relocation or whatever other reason.
