Pros

You have access to great clients, industry events and expertise. Leaders in green practices and educating employees on the Revit software platform.

Cons

You really need to push for your advancement in compensation or career. There appears to be a cultural separation between employees and management.

HOK Atlanta is a decent place to work.

Pros

Atlanta office- This is a relatively small office. It offers the benefits, resources and project experience of a large firm but the number of employees is small. HOK corporate is very committed to sustainable design and BIM (Revit) and access to firm wide knowlege, people and projects is rewarding. Very good benefits package for a design firm. Nice office location.

Cons

Atlanta office- The leadership of the office is relatively new as there has been a lot of turnover. Past leadership was not highly effective, and this office laid off a relatively large number of people. The size of the office and current low workload creates uncertainty and a sense of instability at times. The HOK corporate structure on an office this size may seem onerous at times. 12/2010.
