Pros

People are great, mostly really young and very nice. Start-up culture's feel without the usual problems of an actual start-up. Pay is good. Flexible—they understand that people have lives outside of work, and vacations are necessary. The product we're making is actually very beautiful and useful. Costco deliveries every week. Office is right next to the beach/LA/good food. Fun events are planned a few times every month—happy hour, Knott's Scary Farm, bonfires, etc.

Cons

Maybe TOO chill sometimes. This obviously depends on who you are and your work ethic, but you should preferably be a self-starter if you work here. No one is going to babysit you, but they will notice if you're slacking off.

Pros

The structure at HR Cloud gives employees a lot of independence and trusts them to perform the tasks they were hired to do without constant micromanagement. This works well for motivated individuals but also causes those who need extreme hand-holding to struggle. For a company without any VC funding, it is impressive how much they've succeeded in the human capital management industry considering they're battling much larger, heavily backed companies. There are lots of company-wide events, happy hours, meals, etc. to encourage a family-style atmosphere and good work-live balance. One big plus of working at HR Cloud is that you are surrounded by very intelligent and talented individuals who will push you to do your best while serving as friendly resources if you have any questions. Overall, it's a very team-oriented place to work with a youthful, vibrant culture that relies on the employees to make the necessary changes and improvements to the workplace and products.

Cons

The benefits plan leaves a little to be desired in terms of coverage for dependents and spouses. Sometimes, it feels like there can be a lack of growth opportunities available, however, if you speak with upper management, they will work with you to find ways to increase your responsibilities. You just have to ask instead of assuming it will be given to you.
