Pros

Good Location in mid town new york; respectable pay, good benefits, good corporate sponsored events and activities; supportive and responsive colleagues located in headquarters and other branch locations

Cons

Disrespectful business units with no desire to promote from within; incompetent managers who only care about their self promotion with no desire to promote from within

Pros

The only Pro I can think of is they offer health insurance. The only problem is it takes up a big chunk of your pay.

Cons

If you work in the lower levels of the bank ,you might spend your days wondering if this is the day you get tapped on the shoulder. Do to cost cutting policies by upper management a lot of the work has been offshoredfor cheap labor. Quality doesn't matter as they've kept 5 people to fix the mistakes. Too much work and no overtime. Management invents reasons to not give you a raise/bonus. The newest way is behavior ratings. Don't forget to smile at your manager. If not you might get written up for a bad attitude. Direct managers tend to be petty and vindictive.

Pros

Above average benefits, including vacation time, 401k, tuition reimbursement and health insurance. This is a global organization, so you could potentially be collaborating and connecting with peers across the globe. Very conducive for learning and absorbing global strategies. Pay is aligned with market and is often beyond market value for position. Telecommuting is encouraged.

Cons

The global organization is a double edged sword. The sheer size of this place often makes it difficult to get things done. There seems to be a never ending "transition" to move out of regional silos and into a more global structure. Easier said than done. The struggle is constant and wears on the employees trying to get things done. No one on the management team (or above) seem to have the answers. The Elmhurst, IL office is dismal, but a new office space is been constructed in Arlington Heights.
