Pros

Overall, there is a great underlying mission and company goal. To bring clean and safe water to everyone around the world.

Cons

The routes taken to achieve goals do not always seem to match up in a logical way. Sometimes things are just being done to be done. Pay scale is noncompetitive for the amount of work management tier associates have to put in to keep their teams moving in the right direction.

Pros

Great benefits, work from home in sales, company car, 5% match on 401k.

Cons

Slow to make changes on product lines due to Danaher way of business. Lack of e-commerce on Hach Environmental companies. Hach gets all priority rather than their focus on Hach Environmental companies.

Pros

Health insurance and air conditioning, rabbits live on the grounds and the occasional hawk or owl can be seen

Cons

Hach aims to be "competitive" in salary which means they pay the absolute minimum for the area to keep you around. There are no raises for exemplary employees, your title determines your pay. Salaried employees are expected to work 45 hours MINIMUM/wk (more like 50-60+) and everyone i know that takes vacation brings their work laptop and works during their vacation. Management provides Lip Service to employee concerns, nothing ever changes. Change Management is non-existent here, ideas are thrown out and implemented without any testing causing system outages or employee confusion or worse. Training is unrealistic, managers say they want to train people, and HR says they provide training (but only to managers). But you're expected to work your 60 hours and do your training outside of work. No sacrifice is made to train valuable employees. Budget cuts are the norm, spending freezes happen every other quarter, sales goals are never adjusted during the year (despite things like the China market crashing) so that they don't have to pay out a bonus. Don't expect to be promoted unless they like you. I see new managers that have no managerial or technical knowledge promoted simply because everyone likes them. Career growth and career paths are never discussed.
