Pros

Free ice cream during orientation.

Cons

Everything else. Management only cares about their bonus. You will mean nothing to them, your accomplishments mean nothing to them. When they are done with you they will make up lies and set you up for failure to get rid of you. It looks like a golden opportunity when they are recruiting you, but is nothing more than a false impression.

Pros

Decent place to work, salaries are okay. Lots of great effort on technical front, process improvement, opportunities to get involved and make a difference.

Cons

Salaries are okay, just that... okay and not much more. Problem with the efforts noted above is there are not enough Indians and too many chiefs. Also too much focus on PD/KPI, sometimes you have too look at the whole forest and not get caught in the PD/KPI weeds. Little compensation for employees who go above and beyond. Poor work-life balance. Little opportunity for career advancement.

Pros

Decent work environment. Free coffee and ice cream.

Cons

I served on a technical team of people that ranged from no technical background whatsover, to a 4-year degree in electronics. The person who had the least technical knowledge was liked by the one or two people that mattered, and was rapidly promoted. Others, with experience and background coming in, as well as learning and absorption of job and company knowledge, were put in the shadows.
