If you are reading this to decide whether or not you want to join Hach - my short answer is do not- but please read on-
On my first day here HR had asked me to write a positive review for Hach. I am glad I did not and waited for 3 years before sharing my honest thoughts.
- They will hire you and fire you the moment one thing goes wrong without any explanation - I have seen very talented people getting fired on a whim
- no talented people here - all the talented folks I worked with left within 1-2 years to join other Danaher companies or left to join other companies (or were fired like I said). some of us kept hoping things would change and stayed longer but nothing changed. they do hire people from good colleges like Harvard etc - but the good ones leave or become political to match the system and exist
- management does not know what they are doing and there is no direction
- marketing team has no leadership. there were some strong leaders in the Marketing department who left to join other Danaher companies but currently the condition is quite bad
- if you like to innovate then stay away because this is an extremely traditional and political place, good work is not rewarded and if you speak up you are going to get fired.
- the US office gossips and managers join the gossip so this situation will not improve. Most of us who stayed here stayed because we needed a job and not because we liked to work here. But I will say if you are talented and smart you should look elsewhere because you will have other options
- If you see here most of the reviews are very negative. I believe the positive reviews on this site are actually fake or written by HR, I say this because no one here is happy, they are always complaining so it is hard to imagine anyone saying good things - some people are hiring managers so they will say good things to only get people
- I can write this now because I have moved to to another Danaher company some time ago but I regret losing years of my life at Hach
- When I joined I looked at Glassdoor reviews but I still joined despite the bad reviews because the HR team had assured me the reviews were from bitter employees. Even considered why so many employees will be so bitter? Do you see that for every company?
- If cou decide to join then prepare for bad mental health days because of the high stress culture
- The company will always put business before employees. they really dont care about the people
- If you do not find any other job then you should take this job but do keep looking for other jobs because trust me any person here can get fired anyday
