Pros

- Work events - Relatable Coworkers

Cons

I’m not sure if the Haddad’s care about reviews or constructive criticism, but I will share my thoughts for the sake of employees. Sam Haddad comes off rude. Walks around with an almost disgusted face, very sarcastic and always finds a complaint to make. They have a can do attude, but seems as if he doesn’t follow. Jack and David Haddad are on the friendlier side. They’re easier to talk to. Sam, if you’re running a company maybe try to be nicer to your employees. SVPs, VPs and various management need better training. A lot of the SVPs and VPs are incredibly rude, take advantage of their teams and pry into the personal lives of their employees. The majority of these people perform well with their job but when it comes to managing, they are not great at all. Haddad Brands has shown they do not care about the lives of their employees and what I mean by this is that they do not care about a work life balance. They have taken away holidays from us that other companies have off. Such as federal holidays, Christmas Eve, etc. These are now considered a floating holiday. It’s kind of a slap in the face to work so hard and you can’t even get deserved time or holidays off to be with your family. HR seems to not be too well trained either. Remote work is slowly being taken away and the office will soon go back to 5 days in. The Haddad family will lose lots of employees to companies that are keeping up with the times. WFH = less commute, less distractions. Our energy isn’t being drained. Also, why is WFH only offered to some employees based on their managers opinion? It should be fair for all. Some teams need more employees instead of using all existing employees on that team to do beyond their job description and then not get paid extra for the extra work they’re doing. There’s more I can go on about, but I think this company needs to fix A LOT in order to be considered a good company. Maybe they need someone else that isn’t a Haddad to help run this company because no one at Haddad is doing a great job at it whether it’s a family member or a coworker trying to be one of them. Hire someone with the appropriate experience on running a business to help out.

Pros

- snacks - learning the reality of a family owned business - the few friends I made through trauma bond

Cons

- no work life balance - biased management - lack of communication - lack of visibility - employee unhappiness - no actual lunch breaks - long hours (taking your laptop home and working more after hours) - employees are unheard (they will act like they care but they don't. you will just give them a reason to fire you) - getting fired because you make too much
