Pros

Haddad Brands is a great company to work for. It is family owned and the family members are always accessible to any employee, as are any members of management. They are a licensee for the best brands in the world which makes for a fun, fast paced environment. I read one of the prior reviews that said employees were "bribed" to write positive Glassdoor reviews. That is absolutely not true.

Cons

I wouldn't be here if there were any serious cons. There can be a lot of work, meetings, etc... but what do you expect for a very busy company?

Pros

Employee discount for some great brands

Cons

We received an email from HR this week offering $50 gift cards for reviews on glassdoor.com. Catch is, you had to send a screenshot to HR to get the card. Now there are 20+ positive reviews ALL ON THE SAME DAY. Nov 17. Check it out. But don't believe the hype. This company frequently gets bad reviews and they are trying to mask that using the oldest trick in the book. When they should focus their time on actually fixing what's wrong! If you are considering a job at Haddad Brands, be thankful you read this and run the other way.

Pros

-for the most part they let you dress as you are, dyed hair and all that... -u will learn many categories at once - denim/outerwear/active/knits etc -you do move up quickly (mostly because of high turnover) -the Haddads themselves are actually nice (though you don't really interact with them much)

Cons

1st off BRIBERY! HR had the audacity to send emails out to current employees asking them to review the company and email a screenshot of the review to potentially win a $50 gift card!! SERIOUSLY?? This removes anonymity so they will only receive overly positive reviews! NOTICE HOW MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS FROM NOV 17th 2016??? exactly... -condescending directors - they treat you like you are incompetent - a lot of micro managing -workload/sample handling is a lot with unrealistic goals -tedious and outdated systems with too much room for human error -too much emphasis put on fluff things and forced participation to "increase morale' which does the opposite -people move up TOO quickly due to high turnover (more than 3 people quit within my 1st 3 months) - some of the higher ups (who gained their roles within a few yrs or so) do not know what they are doing and put a lot of pressure on their teams to ensure they are perceived well to impress the Haddads/CPO -most everyone is right out of school or have been then for 25 yrs. not a lot of communication/help cause no one knows how things were done/should be done (blind leading the blind) -pay isnt the best - insurance sucks! and is pricey -makes you sign a non-compete even as an assistant! and it limits you alot for jobs in nyc afterward -there are alot of projects where you are not given a definitive deadline until like 2 days before, they are just like "oh just work on it as we go"...then all of a sudden its "we need this by noon!" unless you want to do childrenswear as a career and just need to start anywhere i say pass
