Pros

Work life balance, if you’re looking to grow, there’s lots of opportunity if you’re willing to put the effort in time into it. The world seems to be your oyster as long as you’re willing to raise your hand and work for it.

Cons

Pay could be better for a company that has been around 50 years. The pay scale has been off for awhile.

We are happy to hear that you’ve experienced strong work-life balance and see meaningful opportunities for growth, especially your perspective that raising your hand and putting in the effort can truly open doors. That mindset reflects the culture. We hear you on the compensation and while we move the company from surviving to thriving, we have already started performance reviews for potential pay adjustment for Stylists, Client Service Coordinators and Center Managers. As we continue to thrive, when the company does well, everyone who makes that happen should share in the upside, which means all positions may become eligible for a potential pay adjustment. We look forward to a successful future and being able to reward everyone.

Pros

My direct reports were very supportive Amazing clients Transform lives and instill confidence

Cons

Many leaders-regional support all the way up to CEO have been here too long. Needs an overhaul in leadership change from the top. You can’t expect better financial and performance growth and more clients with doing the same things year after year. Sales team-training is amazing first 2 weeks, but then you see every consultant doing different things-no consistency, no accountability, and no new sales. Stylists that have been here a long time 10 plus years-No pay raises in the time I was here. Expect customers who can hardly afford their memberships to tip and take care of the stylists. Healthcare is not affordable-especially if you have a spouse. If you don’t take care of your employees, they won’t take care of your customers and you will continue to have high turnover as a company.

We acknowledge your concern regarding leadership, strategy for better performance, and sales team consistency post-training. We are actively evaluating our compensation structure to better reward long-term stylists and have been making consistent improvements year after year for better plan design with more affordable employee healthcare options to honor our commitment that employees must be taken care of to successfully serve customers.
