I loved working here, LOVED my job. But they fire people like old rags (No notice), and when I resigned due the negligence of management and personal negative experiences, I was told that I may return if desired to do so. Their was a change in management and a pay raise, so I wanted to re-apply. Management completely ignored my application and follow-up email I sent. Despite my work ethic being top tier, they didn't seem to think I was qualified for the position. Favoritism definitely floats around the walls of Halifax Humane Society. I was not a favorite, and honestly, I probably dodged a bullet. Apply if you want to help the animals, they have volunteers too. But don't waist your time if you're searching for stability, a grounded work environment, or to make an actual living.
