Pros

We generally have great repeat customers that you get to know and really enjoy seeing over and over again. The employee discount Fun products I like the fact that a lot of the upper management are females.

Cons

Enough of the CSI!! Dear g-d! All I hear constantly is about how we need to focus on all the steps of FIRST, then when we do the customer feels pestered and gives us a bad review. Which in turn lowers the score and then we get written up and noone gets a bonus or a raise regardless of well the sales are! My store has never missed a quarter in 2.5 yrs, but all the company cares about are the scores. It is just their way of trying to weasel out of having to give bonuses or raises. I understand about being sincere and making moments with my customers but some times we receive a low score just because the customer liked another store better or they complain about the parking outside or even about the prices on the cards. And if you get a 4 out 5 for a rating...guess what? It counts as a 0!! And the Perfect Store program: really!? There is so much time spent on this that it is a huge waste of payroll (which I don't have any to spare as it is) I don't think that our customers care if the baseboards back in the storage are free of scuffs. And the constant floor changes! And moving of cards. Everything is always an "Emergency" and needs to be done right away. Yes you want to keep it fresh and exciting for our customers, but there are changes that only are set for 3 days just to go back to the way they were. Then changed again 1week later. All this has to be carried out very expeditiously, but neatly and don't forget to nag the customers to death! Oh and do not go over hours! But you only get 2 people in order to this with. This place is definitely more stressful than it needs to be. Very hard physical labor and very underpaid. After 2 years they finally granted my store raises, I received 10cents! Some received 5cents. And this is for a store that has a few Brand Champions out of if, always makes their numbers and generally has higher than company average CSI scores. Thank g-d this is my last Christmas there!

Pros

Wonderful product to sell in the store, staff felt like having a family and receiving product and setting up displays was fun.

Cons

Holiday hours can be long and tiresome, must be friendly and personable to work with customers, and can have a smile on your face.
