As highly experienced staff and trained professionals I always knew that my supervisors had earned their positions in this field. Most had gone to Hamilton as undergrads while others had over 10 years of experience at this institution. They know what they are talking about. Listen to them.

Cons

Because so many of the staff were also undergraduates there at one point there is definitely a sense of institutional "incest" when it comes to institutional policies - with outside viewpoints often taking a backseat. Be mindful of this when discussing university traditions. Also winter here is a nine month season. Be prepared for that.

There are lots of different jobs on campus, just be willing to try different things. Most people just complain that there are not enough jobs, but there is ALWAYS work to be had.

Cons

Minimum wage is the standard all across the board. It's hard to make more than that. Some jobs get paid to do MINDLESS work and skilled student worker jobs get paid the same.
