Cheap Office/Salaries are horrible/Morale is low

Pros

Some people were nice - but few and far between - I enjoyed my work - but I was overloaded - while others worked less.

Cons

Staff is overloaded - I had a high work volume - others walked around constantly chattering away - vulgar & loud - and the Management did nothing to stop it. Very unprofessional.

Pros

I have worked here for over 5 years and by far it is one of the best places to work in South Florida. The employees are all hardworking and extremely smart and you feel welcomed from the time you enter the office space. As the managing partner always says "It's just another day in paradise" working at HMB and it truly is! Work-life balance is important to and respected by management. The attorneys have obtained excellent results in court due to their high level negotiation skills and court room skills. Great team work, great support staff and great family atmosphere!

Cons

We work very hard like all lawyers do but we also work as a team and every member of the team is important and valued.

Pros

The people at the office are so much fun. HMB knows how to party too! I love that colleagues take initiative to celebrate other colleagues' milestones, birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc. The named Managing Partners are really young-hearted and fun. Also, the majority of employees are under 60. HMB is very flexible with time. If you're not an early riser, you've come to the right place.

Cons

There is absolutely no structure. Management is literally all over the shop. There is basically no HR department that works FOR YOU so you're forced to speak about your problems to colleagues which sometimes is not a good idea. There are some "founding" people who are REALLY shady. I've never experienced the unprofessionalism from a seniority level role in any company I've ever worked for. / There aren't common procedures in place. This needs to happen PRONTO. Everyone does it "their way."
