Pros

Really their lights are a head above competitors. The products are top notch and of the best possible quality.

Cons

Company is really unorganized and focused primarily on the bottom line. Even the most talented artisans feel expendable and another number. Also a pretty toxic workplace. Everyone talks and gossips about everyone else, especially the owners and upper management.

Pros

Good entry level job to learn about sheet metal, welding and manufacturing techniques. That's about all i can think of.

Cons

No performance metrics to judge how well you are doing. That raise they promised on your offer letter? Yeah, you'll have to nag your boss for weeks before you see anything. Working hard with the least amount of mistakes to help the company workflow smoother and earn the company more money? Yeah it'll go unnoticed. They will just milk you for the salary you negotiated from the beginning. Just get in and do your job, but don't try to change anything in the company, because nothing will change.

Thank you for sharing! As you may or may not be aware, our Human Resources department has really come to light starting at the beginning of 2020 with a new HR Manager and HR Generalist. As we have been building a strong structured department where the sole purpose is to help build and enrich our culture, it has provided us the opportunity to really examine where Hammerton can improve. In 2020 and throughout this year, our focus has been on the main processes and procedures that were indeed missing in the employee lifecycle. For example, we switched to a streamlined and more efficient HRIS system, restructured and improved our health care benefits, developed a robust on-boarding and off-boarding process, examined our compensation philosophy, created more in-depth career paths for all of our employees, started a leadership training program, and focused heavily on the health and safety of our employees -- especially as the unforeseen pandemic hit. In reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, we communicated continuously through regular stand-up meetings and emails, we set up hand sanitizer stations and took daily temperature readings, displayed COVID safety signage throughout our facility, and created a large ‘COVID News’ bulletin board that was constantly updated. We also mandated masks for everyone who came on to our property. We still communicate updates as necessary. Although we have made some great strides to building an even better company, we recognize that we can always keep improving. This is where you can help! Below is a link that has been recently sent out to all of our previous employees. If you are willing, we would love to hear more from you! We appreciate all the feedback we can get as to help us evaluate if we are on the right track in our improvements. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CPKD9YW Sincerely, Stephanie Clausen HR Manager

Pros

Fast growing and innovative company. Always looking to push the boundaries on new design and be a trend setter versus a trend follower. Great coworkers and down to earth people.

Cons

There are growing pains with fast growth, but they were actively trying to ease those pains to keep things running smoothly.
