Shady business practices. For example, during my interview we mutually agreed on a hiring salary of $10/hr, yet when I check my pay online, it was put in at $9.50/hr.
Over the two years I worked for this company I received one raise from $10/hr to $10.50/hr while taking on many more duties.
The opening/closing staff are not properly rotated, meaning a select few employees will be opening/closing the same days of the week throughout their employment, regardless of their availability. For example, once I was trained how to open as a cashier, I was put on opening every weekend for almost 2 years, without a raise, despite having open availability 24/7.
You have to constantly fight for hours, even when hired as a "Full-Time" employee.
Associated are viewed as expendable by store and corporate management.
