Pros

Got to sit around all day and not much work to do. Very relaxed atmosphere. Had to deal with interesting customers that asked lots of questions.

Cons

Management. Not a heavy workload at all. Do not know how promoting from within works unless you know the right people

Paid holidays. great benefits for full time employees.

Extremely hard to get an off day if it is not requested as vacation time. November and December are blacked out for vacation days.

Pros

Friendly management and employees, great entry level into the finance industry, learn entire unsecured consumer loan process, from applications, to booking, closing, funding, billing, and collections. Finance division is called Harrison Finance Company and branches are small enough to make the work environment comfortable, yet backed by Hancock Bank...making the company reputable! Loved working here! My manager, Asst. Manager, and GM were fantastic! Co workers were friendly and like family. Absolutely no office politics in this pleasant work environment!

Cons

Corporate does tend to put a lot of pressure on during the collections process. Although, not often, but periodically when our numbers would go down. However, this is not uncommon in the finance industry. And the pressure was not nearly as intense as other finance companies we competed with. Also this company adheres to the highest and most ethical collections standards allowable by law. I would go so far as to say, they are the most polite and ethical collectors I have ever worked with!
