Pros

Fast paced, dynamic, sensitive environment; one cannot help but constantly be forced to learn new concepts and improve their skills.

Cons

The office culture wasn't exactly the type I fit into well - both attempts and mistakes were made by everyone. As I said, learning experience.

Pros

Their core values run true with my personal values. Stellar customer service is the foundation we are built upon and what I feel sets us apart from our competitors.

Cons

After merger with Whitney Bank there is still much division between legacy Hancock employees and legacy Whitney employees in some markets. Still working on getting everyone moving forward together.

Pros

I was able to move up fast at first. I went from part time teller to full time teller then a platform. I worked at the main branch at first so I was constantly busy which was good but i was later transfered to a closer branch so I wasn't making such a long commute. The part time tellers make good money but when I went full time they give you less money. I had to fight to get more then the starting pay cause they wanted to pay me the same as some one who had no experience and I had 2 years of experience already. Now that I'm platform I'm still making like 5 dollars less then others in the same position.

Cons

Unfortunately the branch I transferred to doesn't really have any management. They never made their goals and the other staff would get away with stuff cause they were friends with the immediate management. I enjoy what I do but I'm the only one with goals so it puts a lot of pressure on me and then I end up doing a teller position too cause they are always short handed so I can never fully focus on my job. I have finally got the branch meeting the goals. And also the policies are always changing and they dont inform us at the branch so we are constantly having to redo things or we look bad in front of the customers cause we say one thing and its another. The good people always get reprimanded or laid off but those who don't do their work stays and gets good pay.
