Pros

I've been with the company for almost 10 years. It has its ups and downs for sure but in this current climate it isn't horrible.

Cons

It can take a while to move up the ladder. They appreciate a degree more than time and experience when it comes to promoting. The health insurance isn't the best.

Pros

Hancock Whitney is a well-respected regional bank that, starting from small-town roots in coastal Mississippi and in New Orleans, has grown to its current footprint spanning the Gulf South. Working for Hancock Whitney carries a certain pride within the communities we serve. Many employees have been with the bank for 20+ years and many more, including myself, have worked for the bank, left for other jobs, and returned. Hancock Whitney is a stable, long-term, well-respected corporate member of the community that provides valuable services and cares for its employees.

Cons

Hancock Whitney is a for-profit company, so they will always be concerned about the bottom line. Naturally, that drives company decisions that are not always popular. Banking, in general, is a highly regulated industry with a heavy compliance and security component and a traditional, conservative corporate culture. Those qualities are certainly present at Hancock Whitney as well.
