Pros

HFT has recently offered some health benefits to their part-time employees (must be employed for 90 day before singing up). They seem to have a healthy, judgement free work environment over the employee's physical appearance outside of the necessary uniform (close-toed shoes, jeans, HFT shirt, done hair ,and name tag. The environment also encourages their employees to speak about any issues they may bee having at work (and how they might make it better). The store managers and supervisor's do make themselves available for advice and questions at available times and do try to help to the best of their abilities. Depending on the position of the employee, they do have the option of coming in at 4am and leaving before 1pm to have the rest of their free.

Cons

Most of the issues I am starting to notice come from the company itself. HFT pushes a "family" narrative while simultaneously encouraging workers to take on more responsibility themselves before being considered for a promotion (which may take a few months to a year of a pseudo-title without the pay). The company also harbors poor work/life balance as I have noted several instances of supervisors and mangers being called on their time off about store-related issues. Part time associates also the issue of only being guaranteed 12 hours of work a week ,but can be scheduled for up to 30-some hours, making for a generally unpredictable check. To my knowledge, there is no option for night time shifts at HFT stores. Workers seem to know that higher-ups that come in and check the store are brutal in their critique of the store's appearance (down to the dust on a price tag) to conversion numbers. People working on register must also be vigilant of every cent in the till, as even being a few cents over or under can lead to a talk with their supervisor.
