Pros

Huge potential for advancement if you're great at execution and willing to work hard. Customers are extremely loyal and simply expect us to be in-stock, priced right and have helpful associates. Harbor Freight Tools works very hard to live up to its mantra of selling "Quality Tools at Ridiculously Low Prices". The culture is fun and easy yet fast paced. If your a hustler and you care about customers, you'll do well here.

Cons

Systems, infrastructure and even Standard Operating Procedures are still in early stages of development and bolstering appropriately to support the explosive growth appears to be a challenge. Associate turnover is somewhat high due to the high mix of part time associates and fluctuation of hours available for them.

Harbor Freight is a great place if you are a person looking to make an impact. The company is growing like crazy adding 50+ stores a year, this gives the right person a great opportunity to showcase their talent among a very driven peer group.

Cons

With any company that is growing you are going to have "Growing Pains" Harbor Freight Tools is not without its own. The company is in the process of developing and rolling out new programs related to Freight Management, Pricing as well as many others, for the wrong person looking for a ultra stable work environment this may not be the right time for you. Those leaders looking to help grow a company will find it a very enjoyable setting.

Pros

Company is growing and forward focused. Dedicated to processes and improving execution and needs to balance this by not outgrowing its people. Store team works hard and successful managers are active in everyday operations.

Cons

Company is too operationally focused. Pay needs to be evaluated for experience, off hour shifts. Workload is too much at one time for stores. Company holds stores to standards without providing proper support ( trucks are never right and don't get better, no consideration for conditions, schedules change too often). HQ does not listen and there is not a true open communication culture...very disappointing.
