Honestly the downfall of this company atleast in the district I worked at was a year ago when senior management started picking accountability over coaching and development they no longer care about there associates but stick to metrics and pick and choose when to hold people accountable my time at harbor freight was great under prior senior and store management and there was a sense of purpose. One thing about this company is HR and your STORE MANAGER are not to be trusted they are there for the company and don’t care about employees at the end there were multiple occasions where accountability was held unequal along with management throwing others under the bus for something they messed up on and I still get calls to this day from current team never expressing discontent with management even tenured associates the same issues that were going on are still happening at a consistent rate and due to the nature of management people don’t feel welcomed to challenge this as I found out causes you to be called childish and told that person has no respect for you I was told multiple times while working here speaking to associates about grievances was illegal and against company policy along with being told it was illegal to discuss ambiguously why I was leaving the company which I never wanted to do I brought up the fact I may want to consider a notice in which I was coerced into making which was highly inappropriate but not worth fighting as they wanted me out anyways and once your out you can’t get in contact with anybody on the hr side nor employee relations it’s all radio silence stay away from this company at all cost focus on a company that promotes growth and a healthy work place this company is toxic and management will do all they can to save face
