Pros

Always flexible with schedule if you give them advanced notice. They spend a lot of time training people in customer service.

Cons

Low pay. Poor management. Store Directors don't know what really goes on within each department because they never interact with anyone but the managers. Department managers are rewarded for everyone else's hard work, and they don't take care of the rest of the employees.

Pros

The people that go to Harmons are very nice, appreciate the customer service and the wide selection of gluten free and organic items we have in the store. Bob comes into the store regularly and he's an awesome guy. From what I see. Always friendly. And not overly cheesy with customers.

Cons

Training and management needs some work. I've worked multiple places being a front end cashier, but the way they have Harmons set up has got to be the most awful company I have worked for. Drama with other employees (managers included) no flexabilty, favoritism, odd hours, low pay, have to jump through hoops in order to get paid a little better. I joined Harmons because I liked the mission statements...and believed they would value the people who worked for them. Sadly the mission statement isn't true.

Pros

Flexible scheduling makes this a good place to work if your in school, though mistakes in the schedule by management might not be corrected. general friendly atmosphere, good people in general, though it has become less and less friendly since the last management change. Employment is stable, few people are fired, though transfers from department to department are often forced.

Cons

Nonstop drama, incompetent upper management, to the point where you can barely do your job, getting full time means jumping through a series of insurmountable hoops, equipment either barely works or doesn't work at all, little or no training for any lower position. You will be expected to do 2 or 3 peoples work for no additional benefit. Little room for growth, since most managers are hired from outside the company.
