Pros

Harmon's is a friendly environment It is possible to get paid the same amount as others unlike what another reviewer said. The company is growing and opening stores.

Cons

The company doesn't take care of their employees like i hear they used to. Yes it is possible to get paid as much as some more seasoned workers but it is VERY hard. A lot of positions haven't seen a cost of living raise in a while. The company puts so much money into new store development that they put freezes on new full time positions to avoid paying benefits and then over work thier part time employees. Any important positions go directly to people outside of the company 7 out of 8 times. Many the stores go through a lot of management at times because the people from outside the company come in and don't even understand the companies policies and way of doing things. The store even once hired a man who had never worked a grocery store over someone who had A LOT of experience doing the job they both applied for.

Pros

Clean Sales Floor Excellent store model Lots of Growth opening new stores Most employees are great to work with

Cons

Failure to promote from within Interview for one job and upon orientation you are told you will be working something else Most grocery employees have no work ethic Hire store directors that are related to VP's and do not have the managerial background, instead sit in office and collect check Lack of technology Inventory levels of store... too much of what they don't need and can't \ won't fill shelf Back room is a warehouse... with all the inventory dollars tied up in the back room they could build 5 stores. Incompetent management
