Pros

I've been at multiple startups and Harness is by far the best. We experience the typical startup woes: moving fast, rapid growth, changes in leadership...but the culture has remained strong, our CEO has a clear direction and goal, our leadership is supportive and we have continued to be able to hire and retain good people.

Cons

Startups are tough. There can be a lot of uncertainty and a lot of work. Burn out is always a risk. It's been tough the last year with all of the external factors that impact our ability to grow and we've seen a few great team members move on for various reasons. The experience is not unique to Harness and I feel confident that things will get better.

Pros

Harness is a leader and well-aligned with the needs of the modern DevOps industry. Every customer we talk to can receive value from using Harness. I have learned a lot and stay on top of the latest trends by working here.

Cons

It's a startup. Things change fast. And selling in the DevOps space can be really hard.

Thank you for sharing both the pros and cons of working at Harness. It's great to hear that Harness is a leader in the DevOps industry and is well-aligned with the needs of modern DevOps practices. On the flip side, being a startup can bring about rapid changes, which can be both exciting and challenging. It's important to adapt to the fast-paced nature of startups and be flexible in navigating through evolving circumstances.
