Great work culture in 2021 but becoming worse since 2023

Fast paced startup environment with lots of learning opportunities. Great esops back in 2021.

Cons

As the org is moving towards an IPO, they are getting aggressive with each passing day. They are evaluating employees performance every <6 months and firing guys accordingly. They dont provide esops now, only limited RSUs.

The HR team & the workspace team puts in genuine effort to organize fun activities in the office to foster a positive culture, though attendance tends to be low. Their dedication is evident, even if the initiatives don’t always resonate with everyone.

Cons

The leadership approach fosters an environment of fear, stress, and insecurity, making it difficult to feel safe and productive at work. Tasks are often assigned with little clarity or transparent communication, leading to confusion and inefficiency within the team. The culture lacks support and collaboration, leaving team members feeling isolated rather than empowered. Additionally, there is little to no emphasis on helping employees achieve their career goals or providing opportunities for professional growth.
