Pros

Working for Harris Computer in our Talent Acquisition department for almost a year now, I have been pleased to say that the corporate environment does not feel evident with Harris. You are treated like a person, not a number, along with each business unit, manager, colleague, and team member adhering to the 10 core values that Harris has. They aren't just listed for looks - Harris adheres to these each and every day, and I am proud to call Harris my home until retirement. My husband also has a home at Harris until retirement. If you work hard, continue to be a great asset and share your ideas, they accept you, your creativity, and your drive to making them succeed, and in turn, want you to succeed WITH them. I not only recommend this company, but I recommend retiring with this company. There are a ton of employees who have a long tenure, and that means something.

Cons

Truthfully, I have no cons in my position. When I have had a concern, it has been addressed and I have been given opportunity to fix it or be in a different position where it works better. They allow and want you to succeed, and for that, I am grateful.

I want to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I don't have a time machine but wish we could go back and address the issues you bring up here. Each of your business units has autonomy to make decisions at the business unit level. Harris is the parent company that supports and guides but does not dictate how our business are run or who is hired/terminated unless our values have been breached. In regards to your comments on our Covid response I just went back and read memo and memo from our CEO. This is direct quote from one of those internal memo sent to all employees from our CEO: "The uncertainties resulting from Covid-19 continue to dominate the personal and professional realities for many of us. A common strategy for dealing with any uncertainty is to try and reduce or eliminate its cause, allowing one to return to a more comfortable, familiar, or predictable state. Unfortunately, the pandemic is not cooperating. We must instead be pragmatic and focus on what we can control or influence. In September we had communicated that no one was required to return to one of our offices nor travel for business through 2020. Given the pandemic’s likely trajectory, we have decided to extend this date through to July 1, 2021. Does this mean that you cannot return to an office or travel for business? No - what it means is that the choice to do so rests with you and your family."
