Harris County Auditors Office

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Great benefits, competitive salary and flexibility with ability to earn comp time

Cons

Department heads and executive levels are elected or appointed officials who may or may not have the necessary qualifications for the position. Overall lack of accountability since County Auditor is not engaged and therefore audits are taken seriously. The Auditors Office is underperforming and lacks accountability.

Pros

Good benefits and great retirement benefits. Small lab and no working with the public for case work. No business attire.

Cons

Repetitive lab work and micro-management. The employee doesn't give raises on a yearly basis even with a good evaluation. Ok
